Shepparton Foodshare relies on the generosity of our community to provide food relief across the region.

Right now, with the extra demand for food relief, Shepparton Foodshare is looking for volunteer drivers to head out in our food rescue vans to collect food donations around the region and to deliver food to local agencies and into areas impacted by the recent fires.

If you hold a current driver’s licence, are physically fit, and can volunteer between three and fifteen hours weekly, they’d love to hear from you.

Shepparton Foodshare's vital community service, sees two vans and a small truck out and about on weekdays. There is no requirement for a heavy vehicle licence, our vehicles only require a car licence.

You will also be required to hold a current police and working with children check, or if you don't have one be prepared to obtain one at no cost to you.

You will be a part of a team of dedicated and caring volunteers undertaking an important role within our vital local community food relief service. The supportive and inclusive environment and fun atmosphere provides a great opportunity to contribute, connect and thrive.

Shepparton Foodshare distributes the equivalent of almost one million meals annually, supporting individuals, families, school children, and emergency food relief.

When you support Shepparton Foodshare, you’re supporting local people.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we operate —
the Yorta Yorta people
, and we pay our deep respects to their Elders past and present.

We also extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples

.

This is Yorta Yorta Country — a place of deep cultural significance and belonging, where the rivers meet, and where knowledge, stories, and food have been passed down for countless generations.

May we walk together with respect, learn from the wisdom of Country, and continue to support one another with the same generosity and spirit that has always lived on this land.
