YOU CAN HELP

Notre Dame_edited.jpg

Shepparton Foodshare relies on community spirit and generosity to operate.  It is with this extreme generosity that we are able to keep our doors open and keep up with the growing demand for food relief.

There are numerous ways you help and make a difference to local people in need -

  • Make a tax-deductible donation

  • Become a Monthly Partner

  • Volunteer your time

  • Donate food staples

  • Conduct a food drive at your workplace, school or community group

  • Conduct a fundraiser on Shepparton Foodshare's behalf

  • Direct your Container Deposit Scheme (CDS) refund to Shepparton Foodshare using code C2000000925

  • Help us raise our profile and invite a Shepparton Foodshare representative to speak at your service club, group, school or business

Donating food to Shepparton Foodshare is a great way to support.  Foodshare follows strict food handling guidelines.  All food donated must be fit for purpose and we do require that the donor has taken reasonable care when handling, storing and packing food.  There are certain items we cannot accept as follows -

  • Product past its use by date and refrigerated food past its ‘best before’ date

  • Product where the packaging seal has been broken

  • Mouldy or rotting product

  • Product where the cold chain has not been maintained

  • Product subject to a safety recall

  • Unlabelled product provided without ingredient details

  • Refrigerated items not stored and maintained at less than 5°C

  • Frozen items not stored and maintained at less than minus 15°C

  • Food that is damaged or perished to an extent that affects its reasonable use

To find out more about lending a hand to Shepparton Foodshare via any of the means above   please email kate@sheppartonfoodshare.org.au

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we operate —
the Yorta Yorta people
, and we pay our deep respects to their Elders past and present.

We also extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples

.

This is Yorta Yorta Country — a place of deep cultural significance and belonging, where the rivers meet, and where knowledge, stories, and food have been passed down for countless generations.

May we walk together with respect, learn from the wisdom of Country, and continue to support one another with the same generosity and spirit that has always lived on this land.
