The new warehouse project is a collaborative approach having received a $2,918,970 commitment from the Victorian Government and $600,000 from the Federal Government.

A contribution toward fit out was also made by the Margaret Attwood Trust and the Freemasons Foundation of Victoria.

The site on which the warehouse will be built was donated by local philanthropists the Andreadis family.

The Shepparton Foodshare Board welcomed Minister Gayle Tierney MP for a turning of the sod on the of the new facility on April 19, 2024.

Local builder, Telfords Building Systems, have been appointed to undertake construction and Curo Project Management will support the management of the build and funding requirements.

Construction is now well underway and on track to be completed by the end of 2024.  There will be a transition period whilst Shepparton Foodshare relocates to this new facility however it is anticipated that Foodshare's vital community food relief services will be relocated and fully operational from the new site in the first quarter of 2025.
